Effective from 30th November 2016

Dear Patient

We continually try to improve the service we provide. We have therefore decided to change the system by whcih you access an appointment.

From Wednesday 30th November all requests for an appointment will be triaged by a Doctor or Nurse Practitioner. This will allow the doctor or nurse, in discussion with you, to decide the best way of dealing with your problem.

If you need seen the same day an appointment will be given.

If you wish to be seen on a particular date, the doctor or nurse will try to facilitate this.

If your problem can be dealt with over the telephone, that will be done.

You will no longer be able to book a face-t-face appointment online but you will be able to go online to book a telephone triage consultation. You can do this using the online services but you must add your contact number when you are prompted for a reason for your appointment.

It is important that we have up to date details for all our patients so if you have changed address or phone number can you please contact the reception to get it updated.

Yours sincerely

Drs Dalzell, Gray & Whitehead

PATIENT AWARENESS NOTIFICATION

The practice has been made aware of bogus callers telephoning patients claiming to be calling on our behalf or from the health centre.

Bogus callers will attempt to sell medication or appliances that they claim will assist patients with their health care.  These medications and appliances come at a cost and the caller will request your bank account or payment card details.

Please note that we would NEVER under any circumstances telephone our patients and request payment for medication, treatment or appliances.

Any patient suspecting that they have been contacted or become victim of a bogus caller should notify the surgery immediately and report the incident to the police.
